Spore Portrait

Recently I have been re-enjoying certain horror video games, and one is The Last of Us.

Most people will deny that it’s horror – personally, I say it is because there is:

  1. Enough jumpscares
  2. scary characters
  3. and a lot of stealth

So, while enjoying The Last of Us, I have designed a spore faced human, as a monster character for my Conceal and Reveal project.

I was inspired to do so by the Clickers in The Last of Us. 

Here is what a Clicker looks like:

Clickers use sound to find the player. They are unable to see due to the spore on their face, covering their eyes.

I wanted to make my character similar but able to see. So, here is what happened:

I don’t know how I’m going to use this piece. I’m attempting to decide between making this into a part of a specific person’s monster (like John Christie), or using this later when I categorize criminals by their over-all actions.

I suppose I’ll figure it out eventually.
